PT Prasadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLI) in the industrial world of treating hazardous waste is increasingly getting the attention of many parties. After a number of state institutions such as the prosecutor’s office, the police, medical personnel, the judiciary and others visited PPLI to conduct a field study, this time the presidential staff office also made a similar working visit to the company that has been 28 years consistent in saving the environment by treating hazardous waste.<\/p>\n
The working visit is in the context of the main tasks and functions of the Indonesian Presidential Staff Office in providing support to the President and Vice President in the field of controlling national priority programs in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 83 of 2019 and relating to the management of strategic issues in the environmental sector.<\/p>\n
This was stated by Trijoko M Solehoedin, Main Expert of Deputy I of the Presidential Staff Office of the Republic of Indonesia, Thursday (19\/5) at the PPLI office, Nambo Village, Klapanunggal District, Bogor. Trijoko appreciated the existence of PPLI as a business entity that serves hazardous waste treatment in a professional and integrated manner. He said, so far PPLI has complete hazardous waste treatment facilities, including for health care facilities, and also serves as a final landfill for residues produced by medical waste incinerators from various hospitals.<\/p>\n
He hopes that in the future PPLI can participate in the development of a national medical waste management system, in the form of building facilities in other places or providing technical assistance to areas that are building medical waste treatment facilities.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, he also promised that the government would continue to provide support for the creation of a good and sustainable medical waste management ecosystem through improving regulations, institutions, and coaching.<\/p>\n
Responding to this, PPLI Advisor Syarif Hidayat on the sidelines of receiving the arrival of the presidential official expressed his appreciation for his visit. Syarif stated that since 28 years ago he has consistently supported the government’s efforts in handling hazardous waste, and said that PPLI is happy and committed to following government regulations in handling and treating industrial waste.<\/p>\n
On that occasion, presidential officials consisting of Trijoko M. Solehoedin, Hery Suhartono, Naudita Olivia Sihite, and Nauval Putra Prabowo accompanied by the Senior Technical & Support Manager of PPLI, Yusuf Firdaus toured the laboratory tests facility, a waste treatment unit using technology incinerator with a capacity of 50 tons per day, as well as various other facilities up to the hillside or known as landfill.
