In the momentum of International Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Day, the company managing Hazardous Waste PT Prasadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLI) again won an award from the Ministry of Manpower for seriously care for the safety and health of its human resources.

This award was given by the Ministry of Manpower after going through an assessment for three years from January 2018 to December 2020. This award is the fourth time given to PPLI.

“Alhamdulillah, in the momentum of this International K3 Day, PPLI again won appreciation from the government for its care and compliance in protecting all company employees at work, including the availability of work safety attributes that all employees must wear,” said PT PPLI K3LM/ SHEQ Manager, Sonny Kartika Bagus Dwi Nugraha in a release on Wednesday (28/4).

The assessment of the Ministry of Manpower is evaluated in serious manner. According to Sonny, until now, PPLI has been quite successful in reducing the number of work accidents. “Hopefully this appreciation does not make us complacent and slack off our attention in terms of work safety,” hoped Sonny, who is also the Chair of PT PPLI Covid-19 Task Force. This award has been received by PPLI for the fourth time since 2013, 2014, 2020 and now 2021.

“The implementation of occupational safety and health is our priority. Alhamdulillah, so far there has been no fatal work accident, or causing death,” he said.

Apart from work safety, employee health is also a company concern. The Corona outbreak, which is still spreading and the status of the orange zone has not been removed from the Bogor Regency area, where PPLI operates, has further tightened the implementation of health protocol procedures in company areas.

According to Sonny, the company that won the CSR award from the Governor of West Java, in addition to requiring employees to wear masks, take body temperature, use hand sanitizers and maintain personal hygiene and work space, it also regulates interaction distance between employees.

“The workspace and meeting rooms are limited in the number of participants. Distancing and insulation are carried out. In fact, we have to change the meeting room into a workspace so that it is not too crowded in one room,” added Sonny.(atp)
